Brenda Ann Anderson, age 65, of Hollis, passed away late Tuesday evening, June 10, 2014, at OU Medical Center, in Oklahoma City.
Brenda was born in Watsonville, California on May 18, 1949, to Walter T. and Ila Mendy (Jones) Anderson. Beginning her life in Watsonville, California, Brenda moved to Amarillo, Texas as a young child and later to Borger, Texas where she graduated high school, in 1968. She later attended Frank Phillips College in Borger and graduated with an associate degree. After leaving the police department, Brenda served as the church secretary for the First Baptist Church for fifteen years, until her health began to decline, in 2011. Brenda loved everyone and was equally loved, always having a hug to give. Church was her life and she loved spending her spare time studying her Bible, reading books and doing crochet and needlepoint.
