Obituary for Bruce Eldon Mefford
Bruce Eldon Mefford, age 76, a long time resident of the Eldorado Community, passed away Monday, September 29th, 1986, at Quanah, Texas. Services have been set for Thursday, October 2nd 1986, at the Corinth Baptist Church, Eldorado with The Reverend Henry McBrayer officiating. Burial will be in the Eldorado Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Funeral Home.
Born December 28th, 1919, he was the son of E. H. and Beatrice Mefford. He moved with his family from Grandfield, OK to Eldorado in 1937. He was married to Melveta Fay Jarvis at Gould, OK, July 6, 1940. Mr. Mefford farmed in the Eldorado Community.
Survivors include: his wife, Melvetra Fay Mefford of the home; two sons, Danny Dean Mefford of Columbus, Ohio and Ricky Bruce Mefford of Eldorado, Oklahoma; one daughter, Myrna Fayrene Taylor of Deming, NM; two brothers, Marvin Mefford and Glenn Mefford of Eldorado; two sisters, Dorothy Helms of Eldorado and Goldie McElroy; seven grandchildren.
