Obituary for Bryon Emitt Ford
Bryon Emmitt Ford age 73, of Altus, Oklahoma was born December 14, 1923 in Pocatello, Idaho, to the late George Washington Ford and Addie Mae (Markham) Ford. Bryon passed away Tuesday, February 4, 1997. Bryon was a graduate of Tipton High School. He has lived in Altus for 55 years. He served in World War II in Africa and Italy with the United States Army, he attended and graduated from Oklahoma A & M. Following graduation he and his brother George owned and operated two Phillips 66 Stations her e in Altus. Byron then became associated with the United Supermarkets where he was a Business Manager, Store Manager, and District Manager for over 40 years until he retired. Byron was a 32nd Degree Mason with the local Masonic Lodge. He was an active Civic Leader for many years. A Memorial service will be held Thursday, February 6, 1997 at 11:00am in the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel, under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. Memorials may be sent to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, to the Emphysema Division.
Survivors are his children Dan ford and Deborah of El Cajon, California, Patty Ford of Bethany, Oklahoma; sister, Maxine Ford and Glen of Odessa, Texas; grandchildren James Daniel Ford Jr., of El Cajon, California, Robert Byron Ford of El Cajon, California, Sarah Elizabeth Ford of El Cajon, California, Joshua L. McCusition of Bethany, Oklahoma, sister-in-law Adaline Ford of Altus, Oklahoma, a host of nieces and nephews and many friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, George Ford and Merritt Ford, one sister, June Mailhoit.
