Byrl E. Rudd was born February 6, 1917 at Elmer, Oklahoma. He died June 11, 1993 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. He married Murldean Nease August 17, 1946 at Vernon, Texas. He was the son of Forney and Buna Rudd. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the US Army in the European theater. He was a life long resident of Jackson County, a member of the Elmer United Methodist Church, a member of the Elmer Masonic Lodge, and had farmed in Jackson County until he retired in 1983.

Services are scheduled for 10 am Monday at the Lowell-Tims Chapel with Rev. Gene Nease officiating. Interment will be in the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. the family will receive visitors from 2 pm until 4 pm on Sunday afternoon at the Funeral Home.

Mr. Rudd is survived by his wife Murldean Rudd of Elmer, Oklahoma; children Lynn Rudd of Elmer, Oklahoma; Max Rudd and Diann of Perkins, Oklahoma; sister, Jewell Willis; three grandchildren, Benton, Allison, and Jamison Rudd.

Mr. Rudd was preceded in death by his mother and father.
