Carey Oliver Red was born November 11th, 1872 North West of Lufkin, Texas to Warren and Millie Elizabeth (Watson) Red. He married Elsie Russell in Redtown, Texas on April 24 l892. He moved to this area in l906. C. O. was a farmer and a member of the Assembly of God Church.

Carey is preceded in death by his two wives, four children. He is survived by one son; Lucas Red and three daughters: Mrs. Sarah Capps, Mrs. Oma Hand and Mrs Corrie Harper.

Services for Carey Oliver Red are scheduled for Tuesday, October 10, 1967 at 2;00 P.M. at the Blair Assembly of God Church with Rev. Gob Johnson and Rev J C. Crabbe officiating. Burial will follow at the Blair Cemetery under the Direction of Tims Funeral Home.
