Obituary for Carl Douglas Ballard

Funeral Services for Carl Douglas Ballard, age 63, of Altus, Oklahoma, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 15, 1996 at the Lowell Tims Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Altus City Cemetery. Bill Osborne and Maurice Hibbard will officiate.

Mr. Ballard passed away August 12th, 1996, after an extended illness. He was born June 11th, 1933 in Talequah, OK to Charlie and Etta Pearl (Terrell) Ballard. On August 13, 1953, Carl married Lula Bell Jolly in Twitty, TX. Carl had been a mechanic for West Motor Company for 25 years and was a member of the Ridgecrest Church of Christ. Carl's hobbies included fishing, watching baseball and gardening. Lowell Tims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Ballard was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Tuxie Ballard; a daughter, Cindy Bearden and a son, Johnny Ballard.

Survivors include: his wife, Lula Bell Ballard of the home; his mother, Etta Pearl Terrell of Altus, OK; son, Carl Ann Mains of Olustee, OK; daughter, Kathy Kellison of Altus, OK; son, Tommy Ballard of Altus, OK; daughter, Teresa Wilkie of Fredericksburg, TX and daughter, Tammy Ballard of Altus, OK; three brothers, Ed Ballard and his wife Reva of Altus, OK, Sam Ballard and his wife Siccola of Altus, OK and Howard Ballard, also of Altus; four sisters, Ima Poling and husband J.D. of Altus, OK, Mary Kate Horton and husband Ed of Borger, TX, Fran Johns and husband Joe of Bedford, TX and Faye Dill and husband Clint of Bedford, TX; 18 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; host of nieces and nephews and one uncle, Bill Terrell of Muskogee, OK.
