Obituary for Carol June Gilbaugh
Carol Ward Mooney Gilbaugh, 78, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away September 7, 2021 at Mangum Hospital. Carol is the daughter of Carl Cecil Ward and Vergie Mary Frances Martin. She was born in Granite, Oklahoma on July 26, 1943.
Carol worked many years in homecare and childcare through her church. She loved taking care of people, especially the elderly and children. She was a provider to many. She loved to read, go camping, and watch mystery shows.
She is survived by her daughters, Debbi and husband Billy Dewhirst of Webber Falls, Kathi Mooney of Mangum, and Karen and husband Carl Hagemann of Childress Texas; Two sons, James Mooney and Carl Mooney of Mangum; Two nephews, Dustin Green and wife Amy, Daniel Green and wife Amanda; Grandchildren, Raynell and husband Daniel Shrum, Billy Dewhirst, Jr and wife Amanda, Johnny White and wife April, Joshua White, Ka’Leigh White and husband Nathan McClellan, Dennis “DJ” Draeger, Jr and wife Ellen, Desiree and husband Joshua Harper, Samantha and husband Eddie Chambless and Ryan Mooney and wife Hailey Colson; Twenty-eight great grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; Sister, Judy Green; Daughter, Lauri Jeanne Montalbo; and Daughter-in-law, Louella Mooney.
