Carroll Owens Miller, 68, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 1995. Carroll was born August 22, 1926, at Headrick, Oklahoma to the late Leslie and Fannie Miller. On November 25, 1950, he and Doris Lewis were united in marriage in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Carroll was a life long resident of Headrick and Jackson County. He served in the Army Air Corps. Mr. Miller farmed in the Headrick Community for many years. He was a member and deacon of the Headrick First Baptist Church. He served as the Sunday School Secretary and the Church Treasurer and looked after the church in general. Carroll retired from Civil Service at the Altus Air Force Base Hospital after 34 years of service. He was a school board member at the Navajo Schools for 32 years.
Mr. Miller was preceded in death b his parents, three brothers, Hundley, Leslie and John Miller; and by one sister Mary Alice Miller.
He is survived by Doris, his wife of 44 years; four daughters and two son-in-laws, Anita Miller of Altus, Phyllis and kim Stephens of Hollis, Oklahoma; Margaret and Jesse Adcock of Dighton, Kansas and Cathy Miller of Oklahoma City, two sisters and one brother-in-law, Anna Laura and Carroll Briscoe of Altus and Lena Sue Douglas of Harrah, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Jessica and Rebecca Stephens of Hollis, Oklahoma and Jared and Melody Adcock of Dighton, Kansas.
