Obituary for Celia Macias
Celia Macias, 76, resident of Childress, Texas, and former resident of Hollis, Oklahoma passed away December 6, 2021, in Lubbock, Texas.
Celia was born November 19, 1945, in Mathis, Texas to Marcos Saenz and Manuela Bentancort Saenz. At a young age, Celia moved to Hollis, Oklahoma. In her teenage years, she and her siblings worked in the cotton fields. In the summer they would “chop cotton†and in the fall they would pick cotton. By working in the fields she learned an incredible work ethic and also a great appreciation of family these two principles would guide her entire life.
Celia worked in the restaurant industry as a waitress and cook, but she was always known by her customers for her friendly smile and her glowing personality. In 2015, Celia retired from Fox Clinic in Childress, Texas after ten years of housekeeping.
She had a love of music and dancing, liked to sing along to the songs she listened to and of course dancing to the music! Celia had a green thumb and could grow any plant or flower she was given, but the thing she enjoyed the most was spending time with her family, her children and grandchildren were the most important thing to her, she cherished every moment with them.
Celia was a long-time Catholic and raised her children in the Catholic faith. She was a woman close to God and of great faith.
Celia is survived by her Sons, Alejandro S. Macias and Stormy, Nicholas S. Macias and Hallie; Daughters, Marta S. Macias, Olivia S. Macias and Eddie Garcia; Brother, Marcos Saenz Jr.; Sisters, Adelfa Lopez, Anna R. Aguilar; Grandchildren Miguel John Theademan, Ronald Theademan Jr., Russell Don Theademan, Keegan Jay Macias, Mikal Gillian Macias, Christopher Devon Macias, Coryn Danielle Thorn, Camri Dawn Macias, Jacob Tyler Macias, Mia Zoel Macias, Sebastian Lee Macias, Andrew Shane Pittman, Angel LeeAnn Hope, Adison Bree Pittman, Audra Jae Macias, Ausustin S.
