Obituary for Charles Carroll Clonts
Carroll Clonts, age 68, of Eldorado, Oklahoma, died early Thursday, June 2nd, 198, morning at St. Anthony's Hospital in Amarillo, Texas. Funeral services have been set for 3:00 p.m., Saturday, June 4, 1988 at the First Baptist Church of Eldorado, the Rev. Don Ladner officiating. Interment will be in the Eldorado Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Funeral Home.
Born June 30th, 1919, in Eldorado, the son of C.W. and Jennie Mae Clonts. He owned and operated Clonts Auto Store and Red Skin Boat Company for many years; he was also in the farming business. He married Ethel Hickman June 25, 1981. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and a veteran, serving in the Navy during World War II.
Survivors include: his wife, Ethel, of the home; one daughter, Jo Karen Gunkel of Eldorado, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Jenny Gunkel of Eldorado, Kelly Parker of Quanah, TX and Mickey Gunkel of Altus, OK; two great-grandchildren, Valerie and Vanessa Parker of Quanah, TX; one sister, Dorothy Hatch and his Mother, Jennie Mae Clonts.
