Obituary for Charles Dee Butchee
Charles Dee Butchee, age 54, longtime resident and Civic Leader, died Saturday, March 5th, 1994 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital following a sudden illness.
Services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Rick Robart and Ardron Hinton. Burial will follow in the Warren Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
Born January 16th, 1940 in Altus, he was raised in Jackson County and had lived here most of his life graduating from Warren High School. He married Iverna Chestnut May 24, 1959 at Billings , Oklahoma. He was an active farmer, rancher and dirt contractor and was involved in many area agriculture and community projects; committee member of the ASCS office, Regent of Western Oklahoma State College, past Navajo School Board Member, Warren Community Fire Dept., Warren Cemetery Restoration Project member, Farm Bureau Peanut Grower's Committee Delegate, and many other farm related organizations. He was a member of the Methodist Church. Contributions can be made to the Blair United Methodist Church, Warren Cemetery Fund, and to Western Oklahoma State College.
Survivors include: his father, Charles A. Butchee of Blair, OK; his mother, Mary Anita Pair of Blair, OK; his wife, Iverna Butchee of the home; two children, Charles Robert Butchee and wife Teresa of Blair, OK and John Dee Butchee and wife Dana of Warren, OK; one brother, John M. Butchee and wife Linda of Oklahoma City, OK; one sister, Mary Jo Davis and husband Barry of Blair, OK; four grandsons, Heath, Dillon, Brodie and Darren; many nieces and nephews; a sister-in-law, Vera Schreiner of Oconomowoc, WI.
