MITCHELL
Charles Robert Mitchell, age 57, of Sawyer, Oklahoma and formerly of Eldorado, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2013, in Antlers, Oklahoma.
Robert was born in Dimmitt, Texas on April 6, 1956, to Kenneth and Mattie Lou "Boo" (Brown) Mitchell. The family lived in Eldorado, Oklahoma and had gone to Dimmitt to work on a cotton gin when Robert was born. A 1975 graduate of Eldorado High School, Robert lived, for a time, in Clyde, Texas while working in Abilene. He also lived in Caldwell, Texas when working for Key Energy and later did construction work in Austin, Texas before moving back to Eldorado for several years. Robert later moved to Sawyer, Oklahoma where he lived until his death.
Preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Mattie Lou "Boo" (Brown) Mitchell, he is survived by his son, Casey Jack Mitchell of Oklahoma City; two step-daughters, Tiffany Forester of Blair and Brandi Kelso of Moore, Oklahoma; one brother, Stanley Mitchell of Sawyer, Oklahoma; two sisters, Liz Stroud and husband Lynn of Eldorado and Ruth Richardson and husband Mike of Eldorado along with several grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial services for Charles Robert Mitchell will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, December 27, 2013, at the Eldorado First United Methodist Church with Lynn Stroud officiating. Inurnment will be at the Eldorado Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home of Eldorado.
