Chester Floyd Piercy was born August 15th, 1909 at Rowena, Kentucky . He died January 6th, 1994 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. He married Blanche Schnorrenberg on
April 16, 1929 at Oklahoma City, OK. She preceded him in death March 20, 1991. Chester was a longtime resident of Altus and Friendship, having resided there since 1919. He wqas the son of Luther and Laura (Dalton) Piercy.
Services are scheduled for 2 P.M. Saturday with Bryce Wiginton officiating. Services will be held at the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel and interment will be in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
Survivors include: two children, Kay Francis Cohen and her husband Howard of Breckenridge, CO and Kathy R. Threlkeld; nine grandchildren, Gregory Guithues, Dr. Dirk Diefendorf, David Diefendorf, Donald Diefendorf, Jennifer Threlkeld, Robin Threlkeld, Howard Cohen, Jr., Leona Cohen and Randall Cohen; sister-in-laws, Jean Wiginton, Virginia Wiginton, Pat Miller, Wanda Schnorrenberg and brother-in-law, Buck Schnorrenberg, Bryce Wiginton, and Courtney Miller.
He was preceded in death by: his wife, Blanche,of the home; daughter, DeLoyce Diefendorf; son, James Doyle Piercy; his mother, Laura Woolridge.
