Obituary for Christopher Don Cummins
Christopher Don Cummins went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 8, 2011.
Chris was born January 19, 1983, in Altus, Oklahoma, to Gary and Dixie (McCaslan) Cummins and lived his entire life in Altus. During Chris' elementary school years, he was a very talented wrestler with the Altus City League.
The loves in Chris' life were his family and being with friends. He had a passion for cooking and enjoyed fixing meals for other people. Chris loved to laugh and tease, watch funny movies, and was an avid OU football fan. He had a great smile that could light up a room. Chris loved his special Aunt Jo Ann Patterson, who was like a second Mom to him all his life.
Chris was saved at the age of 16 and attended the Altus Christian Fellowship. For the past six months, he had attended Eagle Christian Ministries in Del City, Oklahoma, where he had grown in his faith and had made many close friendships.
Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alva Hayes and Elsie McCaslan, and Coy and Juanita Cummins.
He is survived by his parents, Gary and Dixie Cummins, Mike and Jo Ann Patterson, all of Altus, and many cousins and friends. He will be greatly missed.
Memorial Services for Chris Cummins will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2011, at Lowell-Tims Chapel in Altus with Pastor Darrel Smalts officiating.
