James Christopher Sawyer, age 38, of Lawton, Oklahoma, passed away January 13, 2009 in Lawton.
James was born May 21, 1970 in Altus, Oklahoma. He was the son of Janice Thomas and James D. Sawyer. He was a veteran having proudly served during Desert Storm with the United States Army. After his release from the military, he was studying to become a Graphic Designer. He was currently working in the construction field in Lawton where he could be close to his son.
Mr. Sawyer was preceded in death by his younger brother, Tracy Lee Sawyer.
He is lovingly survived by his mother, Janice Thomas of Somersworth, New Hampshire; his father, James D. Sawyer of Florida; one son, James David "J.D." Sawyer of Lawton, Oklahoma; one daughter, Francesca Sawyer of Maine; two sisters, Barbara Ellen Sawyer of Tampa, Florida and Jennifer Linn Somersworth, New Hampshire; and by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 22, 2009, at Lowell-Tims Chapel with David Stewart officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
