Obituary for Cindy Rollins
Celinda "Cindy" Rollins was born in Wellington, Texas, on December 6, 1950, to Joy and Ernest "Wash" Rollins. She passed from this world February 11, 2020 at the age of 69. She grew up in Hollis with her twin brother Randy and younger brothers Dale and Kent. Cindy was born with cerebral palsy but that never inhibited her love for life and learning. Growing up, Cindy was a regular at the Hollis Rodeos where she cheered on all the participants including her brothers and father. She was so active that she was awarded "Best Spectator and Perfect Attendance" by the Hollis Rodeo Association. She could also be found at every square dance hosted around the area. Cindy knew every step and command called out and would keep a close eye on the dancers and critique any missteps! Cindy was extremely intelligent despite her physical limitations. One of her greatest accomplishments was her high school education with the help of her tutors Leone Briscoe and Mary Beth Williams. A treasured gift to many members of the Hollis community was the recipe book that Cindy hand typed from many cherished family recipes. A special keyboard was made for her where she could fit one finger in at a time to type out hundreds of recipes. In the later part of her life, Cindy went to live with her brother Randy, and his wife Becky in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She was an active member of the Cherokee Elder Care Center where she attended daily. Cindy's infectious smile and bursts of laughter quickly became the highlight to all who attended and worked at the Center. This place was a great joy for Cindy where she had independence and thrived within the community. Cindy had a knack at cards and was known to have the winning hand in any Rummy game. She watched every episode of Gunsmoke and her favorite treat was a McDonald's Big Mac, which she often sweet-talked the staff at Cherokee Elder Care to get for her.

Cindy is preceded in death by her mother and father. She is survived by her brothers, Randy (Becky), Dale (Kay), Kent (Shannon); nephews, Jason (Tara) Rollins, Travis Rollins, Braden (Jessica) Rollins, Tanner (Tara) Rollins, Jeff Rollins; nieces, Julie (Jeff) Baker, Krissa (Gary) Hughes, Callie (Tyrell) Boutte; and several grand nieces and nephews.

Cindy's wheelchair has been traded in for wings, her voice is heard among angels and she dances in Heaven.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Cherokee Elder Care of Tahlequah, for showing Cindy such great care and attention. The friends and family she made had a great impact on her life and she looked forward to each day she spent there.

The family will greet friends at visitation from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Monday evening, February 17, 2020 at the Harmon County Funeral Home in Hollis.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 am on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at the Harmon County Funeral Chapel in Hollis.

Interment will follow services at the Fairmount Cemetery in Hollis under the direction of Harmon County Funeral Home, Hollis, Oklahoma.
