Obituary for Claudia Roe
Claudia Robertson Roe was born May 16th, 1913 Near Warren, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Francis (Brown) Henry. She died August 8th, 1996 at Altus, OK. She married Burley N. Roe and he preceded her in death. She was a lifelong resident of Jackson County. She was a bowling coach for the youth of Altus for many years. She was a charter member of the Altus Garden Club and served as President for a number of years. She served on the Election Board as Inspector for many years. She was a longtime member of the First Christian Church.

Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, at the First Christian Church with Dave Brummett officiating. Interment will be in the Restlawn Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.

Memorials in honor of Claudia Roe may be made to the First Christian Church or the WOSC Scholarship Fund.

Survivors include: one sister, Naomi Knox and husband Roy of Yukon, OK; four grandchildren, Kimberly Ann Roe Yuhasz and husband Keith of Arlington, TX, Phillip N. Roe of Belen, New Mexico, Tracy Roe and Terry Talley, formerly of Altus; former daughter-in-law, Ann Bailey of Peralta, NM.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; 12 brothers and sisters; her husband; and son, Neil Roe.
