Clifford (Steve) E. Powell
Steve Powell was born January 1, 1914 in Texas to the late William Edger and Rose Ellen (Henson) Powell. He died October 5, 2000 at his home in Blair.
He married Sarah Isabell Davis on December 4, 1976 in Dallas, Texas and she preceded him in death on July 4, 1991.
Steve was a World War II Veteran, having served in the United States Army under General Patton in the Battle of the Bulge. He received many honors, including the Bronze Star with 3 Clusters, the Purple Heart, the Good Conduct Medal, the World War II Victory Medal, the CIB, and the American Campaign Medal while serving with the Co. K 137th Infantry Regiment.
Steve retired from L. T. V. Aeronautics, in Grand Prairie, Texas in 1975.

2 Step-Children Tommy & Elveta Davis of Blair, Oklahoma
Jane & Johnnie Abernathy of Blair, Oklahoma
8 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 1 brother, Bob Powell, and 1 sister, Dell Olson.
Services for Clifford (Steve) Powell are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 9, 2000 at the Blair First Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow at the Blair Cemetery with Military Honors. Services are under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
