Connie Sue Proctor, age 60, of Mangum, passed away Monday, October 21, 2013, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital, in Altus.
Mrs. Proctor was born on August 6, 1953, to Raymond and Patricia (Fair) Henry, in Lodi, California. Moving to Stratford, Oklahoma, as a small child, she attended and graduated from Stratford School. In 1984, she moved to Elk City and worked as a Certified Nurse"s Aide at the Elk City Hospital for many years. When her parents" health began to decline, she returned to Stratford and cared for them until their deaths. Connie later returned to Elk City in 2011 and shortly thereafter to Mangum, where she resided until her death. An avid fan of Thunder Basketball and OU Sports, Connie also loved to cook in her spare time.
Preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Pam Mathes, Connie is survived by five children, Tina Brizendine and partner Susan of Granite, Michele Ramey and husband James of Canute, Tiffany Cook and husband Larry of Canute, Megan Proctor of Elk City and Vicki Daugherty of Granite; six grandchildren, Cheyenne Brizendine, Ty Brooks, Bree Brooks, Derek Ramey, Nikki Brizendine and C.J. Elder; two brothers, Mike Henry of Tulsa and Tim Henry and wife Carla of Vanoss, Oklahoma; one sister, Bernita Henry; three nieces; five nephews; and her best friend, Wanda Carver along with many other relatives and friends.
In keeping with Connie"s wishes, she will be cremated and returned to her chosen area, near Stratford, for burial.
