Obituary for Cooper Heath Wilson
Cooper Heath Wilson age 83, of Altus, Oklahoma died July 2, 2013, at Plantation Village Nursing Home.
Cooper was born May 26, 1930 in Victory, Oklahoma. He was the son of the late William Henry and Georgia (Grant) Wilson. He had served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict where he parachuted behind enemy lines. Following his service in the United States Army, he enlisted in the United States Navy. He was honorably discharged from the Navy, then moved to California. He worked as an Ironworker in construction for many years before he retired.
Cooper moved back to Jackson County in 1989 where he made Headrick his home.
He had served as the Post Commander at the V.F.W. in El Cajon, California. Cooper loved fishing and hunting, computer games and visiting with his family and friends.
Cooper was preceded in death by his mother and father; two sisters, Alma Wilson, Carmen Wilson, by six brothers, Windy Wilson, Harold Wilson, Russell Joe Wilson, Lee Wilson, Robert Wilson and Bill Wilson.
Cooper is survived by two brothers, Jon Wilson, Altus, U. S. Wilson New Cuyama, California, by one sister, Laura Festervan, Ft. Worth, Texas, and by three special friends, Ralph Richey, California, Jack Priddy, Headrick, Bob Priddy, Amarillo, Texas, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many-many friends.
A special visitation is planned for Cooper Wilson, Friday, July 5, 2012 at the Headrick Community Center, from 6:00 until 7:30 pm.
