Courtney Collier Jr.
Courtney Collier Jr. was born July 9th, 1928 in Whitesburg, Kentucky to Courtney and Rosa Ella (Alexander) Collier. He has been a resident of Altus since 1958. Courtney is a World War 11 Veteran and retired as a Staff Sargent with the U. S. Air Force after serving for 22 years. Since that time he has worked for Civil Service at Altus AFB, Oklahoma. Courtney is a member of the Baptist Church.
SSgt Retired Collier is survived by four daughters: Mrs Danny Wilson of Whitesburg,, Kentucky,
Brenda Konen, Gaylon Oden and Pamela Collier all of Altus, Oklahoma, three sons: Courtney Collier III of Whitesburg,, Kentucky, James Austin Collier and Samuel Kevin Collier, both of Altus, Oklahoma, two borthers: Leslie Collier of Manaway, Ohio and Wendell Collier of Lake Milton, Ohio, two sisters; Fern Banks of Baltimore, Maryland and Faye Eldridge of Middleton, Ohio. Also surviving are nine grandchildren. One Child, Sharon Diane preceded his in death in 1972.
Services for Courtney Collier Jr. are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 22, 1982 at Tims Chapel of Memories with Chaplain Utley and Jan Oden officiating. Interment will follow at the Olustee Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
