Obituary for Coy Ann McGee

Coy Ann (Fisher) McGee, age 82, resident of Lawton, Oklahoma and former resident of Enid, Oklahoma, left to join the arms of the Lord on May 12, 2023 while in her Lawton home.
Coy Ann was born January 13, 1941 to Roy Fisher and Ellen Fisher at the St. Mary's Hospital of Enid, Oklahoma. She was raised in Enid with her sisters and brother while attending school. Coy Ann graduated from Enid High School in 1959. She started work not long after. She worked in the Oklahoma Employment Security Comm. until her retirement November 30, 2003 after 30 plus years of service. Coy Ann was a quality control auditor when she retired. During her years she lived in Enid, Altus, Sand Springs, Oklahoma City, before settling down in Lawton. She was a hard worker that took great pride in what she did.

Coy Ann was saved and baptized at Olivette Baptist Church in Enid, Oklahoma. She taught Sunday school at the Baptist church in Eldorado, Oklahoma. Coy Ann was also a member of American Business Women Association as well as the Steel Guitar Association, where she was one of three females in the group. She was also a member of the Leigonettes Drum and Bugle Corp.

Coy Ann enjoyed singing and playing her steel guitar and harmonica. She loved teaching others how to play. She also loved to needle point, latch hook, as well as flower gardening. Wherever she was, there was music.

Coy Ann's greatest love was her family. She took on the name "mom" and wore it with pride until eventually becoming "grandma". She always made time for her family, telling stories and playing music. She wanted music to be as important to their lives as it was hers.
Coy Ann is preceded in death by her parents Roy and Ellen Fisher; son Jimmy Dean Adams; brother Doug Fisher; as well as various grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Left to honor her memories are her daughters Kimberly Ann Spikes and husband Cody Spikes of Lawton, Oklahoma, and LeAnn Baum and her husband Geoff Baum of Palo Alto, California; sisters Judy Reynolds and husband Jack of Keyser, West Virginia, and Sheila Abusaab of Big Spring, Texas; her grandkids Jason Lorenz of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Chris Williams of Yukon, Oklahoma, Brennan Marfechuk and husband Blake of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Ashley Wright and husband Derek of Velma, Oklahoma, Kyle Williams and wife Kasidee of Yukon, Oklahoma, and Harper and Quinn Baum of Palo Alto, California; great-grandkids Jaden and Cooper Lorenz of Carl Junctino, Missouri, Kaden Baskett, Willow, Laila, Olivia, and Ryker Wright of Velma, Oklahoma, Ella and Gemma Williams of Yukon, Oklahoma, and Reese Marfechuk of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; as well as nieces and nephews Julie Kay, JoAnna, Matthew, Jennifer, and Adam; and a multitude of friends and other loved ones.
