Obituary for Cozell Harry (C.H.) Bennett
Graveside services for Cozell Harry (C.H.) Bennett, age 76 of Altus are scheduled for 9:30am, Saturday, August 21 at the Altus City Cemetery. Sonny Tims will officiate. Mr. Bennett passed away at his home August 17, 1999. Mr. Bennett was born November 20, 1922 in
Ringling to Harry and Flora (Whitehouse) Bennett. Mr. Bennett married the late Rowena Dyer on October 4, 1947 in Altus. She preceded him in death on February 19, 1999. Mr. Bennett was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army. Mr Bennett was a retired Altus policeman serving on the force for 20 years and retiring as a Captain. He was a longtime member of the Masonic Lodge. Mr Bennett was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one brother and one sister. Lowell-Tims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include three daughters; Jeannie
Valone and husband Charles of Freemont, Ohio; Carol Wallace and husband Rick, of Altus, Oklahoma; Christi Harris and husband Chris of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sixteen grandchildren and one great grandchild.
