Obituary for Dalton Paris Lockwood
Mr. D. P. Lockwood, age 55, of 1329 N. Willard, died Saturday night at Wichita Falls General Hospital.
Funeral services have been set for 2:00 P.M., Tuesday at the Emmanuel Baptist Church, officiated by the Reverend Bill Davis. Burial will be in Altus City Cemetery under direction of Lowell Funeral Home.
Born January 2, 1922 at Hollis, Oklahoma, he was married in 1941, in Altus, to the former Margret Whitwell, who survives of the home. He was affiliated with Lockwood Auto Parts in Altus and was a Veteran of WWII.
Additional survivors include: his father, Mr. W. F. Lockwood of Altus; one son, Leslie Dalton Lockwood of Vernon, TX; three daughters, Mrs. Betty Connel and Mrs. Mary Anne Jones, both of Hobbs, NM and Mrs. Melba Hanchett of Altus; two brothers, Mr. James Lockwood and Mr. M.O. Lockwood both of Altus; three sisters, Mrs. Hazel Crone of Odessa, TX, Miss Maudie Lockwood and Mrs. Lola Palmer, each of Amarillo, Texas; seven grandchildren.
