Obituary for Darby Clifton Sadler
Funeral Services for Darby Clifton Sadler, age 82, longtime resident of Altus, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 30, 1996 at the Elm & Hudson Church of Christ. Burial will follow at the Altus City Cemetery. Bill Osborne will officiate.

Mr. Sadler passed away January 28th, 1996, in a local nursing home. Mr. Sadler was born October 2nd, 1913 in Altus to Thomas and Bessie (Ellis) Sadler. Darby attended school at Porter High and graduated from there in 1934. Darby married Opal Briscoe on November 30, 1935 in Altus. Mr. Sadler was an accountant and later worked at N.B.C. Lumber Yard. He was a member of the Elm & Hudson Church of Christ where he had served as deacon, treasurer, and a Sunday School Teacher for many years. Mr. Sadler was also a member of the Senior Citizens and AARP. Lowell Tims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include: his wife, Opal Sadler of the home; one daughter, Martha Jean Lilly of Loveland, CO; one sister, Susie Lawson of Odessa, TX; two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; one brother, Ernest Sadler; one infant brother; and one infant sister.
