Obituary for David Glenn Johnson
David Glenn Johnson, resident of Altus, Oklahoma, passed away on February 11th, 2024 while at Magnolia Nursing and Therapy in Altus at the age of seventy-three.
On December 18th, 1950, Howard Estes Johnson and Nelda Lou Johnson rejoiced at the birth of their son. David was born in Wichita Falls, Texas. At the age of 6, the family moved from Jolly, TX to a farm near Elmer, OK. He was educated in Olustee, OK. After high school, David went on to earn a Bachelors degree in Accounting at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, OK. Later in 2005, he completed a Masters Degree in Accounting. He worked for more than 25 years in the business accounting field. Later he became a postmaster for the US postal service before retirement. In his free time, David enjoyed sports cars, remodeling houses, and competing in rodeo barrel racing.
David is preceded in death by his parents and 2 older brothers, George Royce Johnson and Howard Gene Johnson.
Left to honor his memory include a younger brother Kenneth and wife Barbara, sister-in-law Peggy Miller, first cousin Sharon Glenn, friends Jerry Drury and Jorge Linares, along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
