Obituary for Debrah Suzanne Campbell
Suzi Campbell, 58, of Blair, Oklahoma, passed away at her home on Wednesday, April 22, 2009.
Suzi was born August 24, 1950, in Blair to Jack and Kathleen (Biddy) DeShong. She attended Blair School and graduated in 1968. She later attended college at Central State in Edmond where she earned a Bachelor"s Degree in Business Administration. While in college, she was a member of the Alpha Chi Sorority.
Suzi married Patrick Campbell July 17, 1970, at the Methodist Church in Vernon, Texas. She worked as the director of the nutrition program at Southwest Community Action in Altus for several years and then later was a substitute teacher for the Blair, Martha, Navajo, and Altus school systems. Her favorite job, however, was being a homemaker, mother, and grandmother. Suzi was a member of the First Baptist Church in Blair.
Preceded in death by her father, Jack DeShong, Suzi is survived by her loving husband, Patrick Campbell, of the home in Blair; one son, Cort Patrick Campbell and wife Holly, also of Blair; her mother, Kathleen Hartless of Blair; two sisters, Diana Lynn Landers and husband James of Altus, and Shannon Gayle Aldrich and husband Keith of Wichita Falls, Texas; and her two precious grandchildren, Chloe Grace Campbell and Cole Gibson Campbell, both of Blair. Suzie is also survived by two nephews, Trevor Thornton and wife Carrie and their family, Dean Thornton and wife Denise and their family, and two nieces, Tonya Croft and husband Kevin and their family, and Amy Holt and husband Barry and their family.
The family will receive friends Friday, April 24, 2009, from 6:30 to 7:30 pm at Lowell-Tims Chapel.
Funeral Services for Suzi Campbell will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 25, 2009, at Lowell-Tims Chapel in Altus with Reverend Randy Mitchell and Reverend Paul Wiley officiating. Interment will follow at Blair Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
