Obituary for Delano Robert Lane
Delano Robert Lane age 71, was born April 29, 1932 in Altus, Oklahoma. He was the son of the late H.H. and Minnie Lee (Austin) Lane. He died August 10, 2003 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital.
Delano married Reba Lee Martin, September 13, 1952 in the Assembly of God Church in Altus.
He served in the United States Army with the 245th Division. He was the owner operator of Musical Sales in Altus over 5o years. He was a life long resident of Altus and Jackson County.
Survivors include his wife Reba Lee Lane of Altus, two children; Paula Lane of Ft. Worth, Texas, Robert Lane of Altus, Oklahoma; four sisters Anna Lue Deal and Jim of Altus, Betty Joe Swann and Billy of Altus, Wanda Watson and Don of Altus, Sylvia Eichholz and Lloyd of Altus, one sister-in-law Bernice Barnes and Roy Lynn of Seminole, Texas; two grandsons Chris Lane and Jennifer of Altus, Mardelle Lane of Altus; one grandaughter Misty Lane of Altus; two greatgrandchildren Courteny and Casey Lane of Altus.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services for Delano Lane are scheduled for Wednesday, August 13, 2003 at 10:00 am in the Lowell-Tims Chapel with Dr. Richard Ventonis officiating. Interment will follow at the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. the family of Delano Lane will greet friends, Tuesday August 12, 2003 at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home form 6;30 until 8:00 pm.
