Obituary for Deloriece Petty
Deloriece Petty, age 72, former Casper, Wyoming resident, passed away Thursday, December 1st, 1994 in the Jackson County Memorial Hospital, Altus, Oklahoma, after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Petty was born March 19th, 1922 in Ogburn, Texas, the daughter of the late Charlie Miles and Myrtle (Smith) Lovejoy. She came to Altus, Oklahoma in July 1994 to be close to her daughter, Dorothy McCarthy.
She will be cremated with burial later in Casper, Wyoming. In 1970, she and Alvin Chandler Petty were united in marriage at Wichita Falls, TX. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include: two children, Dorothy L. McCarthy and husband Fred of Altus, Oklahoma and Madison Franklin Spencer and wife Shirley of Wichita Falls, TX; a brother, Virgil Lovejoy of Bowie, TX; four sisters, Florence Lovejoy, Charlene Kravey, Edna Townsend and Myrtie Palmer, all of Texas; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Alvin Petty, June 22, 1990; her parents.
