Obituary for Demetria Michelle Campbell

Demetria Michelle Campbell, age 52, resident of Hollis, Oklahoma, formerly of Fort Worth, Texas and Oklahoma City, left her earthly home be with her Lord the morning of December 26, 2022, at Harmon Memorial Hospital.

Demetria was born on March 9, 1970, to Joe Campbell Sr. and Shirl (Caroll) Campbell. She was born in Fort Worth, Texas and there she grew up with her brothers and attended school. She graduated from Trimble Tech High School, home of the bulldogs. Later in life, she moved and lived in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma before settling down in Hollis, Oklahoma. She worked at Great Plains National Bank as a Bank Teller. During these years, she raised her son and daughter, creating a beautiful and loving family.

Demetria was a faithful servant of the Lord. She was an active and proud member of the Calvary Community Church in Hollis, Oklahoma. She was a loving member of her community and was an all-around joy to be around. If you didn’t know her, you missed a true blessing. She believed not just in loving and praising God, but she also believed in working for him also. She tried to spread his message to everyone she met. She particularly wanted to let the people who had been downtrodden and beat down by life and the world all know that there is always hope for them, and she let them know their worth. She got events together for women and girls to let know God was always and will always be there for them, and if they couldn't talk to God, they could always talk to her. She could always lend an ear to those who needed it. Demetria was full of love ready to be there for anyone and everyone.

Demetria left a legacy of friendship, love of her family, and devotion to her Lord.

Demetria was received into heaven by her parents Joe Campbell Sr. and Shirl Campbell and daughter Chy’Nequa Campbell.

Left to carry on her legacy are her son Chanod Campbell and wife Nicholet; brothers Joe Cambell Jr. and wife Jackie of Fort Worth, Texas, Kevin Campbell and wife Jamie Crawford of Arlington, Texas, and Sedrick Campbell and wife Robin of Chicago, Illinois; ten grandchildren: Cha‘Nya Campbell, Asiah Peavy, Milagro Campbell, Malaiah Faith, Zacharias, Creed, Caden, Brantley, Cindy Michelle, and Colette Campbell; niece Tamisha Campbell; Kaelin Campbell, Jonathan Campbell, Saya Campbell, as well as numerous other family and friends.

Viewing will be 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., Friday, December 30, 2022, and 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Saturday December 31, 2022, at Harmon County Funeral Home, Hollis, Oklahoma.

A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 7, 2022, at Calvary Community Church, Hollis, Oklahoma.

Services and Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Harmon County Funeral Home, Hollis, Oklahoma.
