Doc Arron Shirley age 50, of Altus, Oklahoma died March 24, 1964 at his home is Altus. He was born November 13, 1913 in Oklahoma to Vurnie Fort McDowell. He went to Oklahoma State in 1937. He married Helen Elizabeth Givens in 1941. He taught Vo. Ag. at Owasso 1937-1942, Maysville 1942-1945, Altus 1945-1948, assistant Assessor office .

Funeral Services for Doc Arron Shirley are scheduled for 10:00am March 26, 1964 at Tims Chapel in Altus, officiated by Rev. Gene Garrison and Rev,. Gleenwood Baglee. Burial will follow in the Restlawn Cemetery under the direction of Tims Chapel.

Doc Arron Shirley is survived by his wife of the home; one son, Don Allen of the home; one daughter, Julia Beth, Stevens Columbia; father A.J. Shirley of Korane; brother Joe K; one sister Margaret Hill Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
