Obituary for Don Ransbottom
Don Ransbottom, age 87 of Hollis, Oklahoma, passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at his home.

Don was born on January 18, 1932 in Independence, Kansas to his parents Earl and Thelma Ransbottom. He attended a country school, Fairview District 59 until the 8th grade and then graduated from Independence High School. After high school Don attended Pittsburg State and majored in Industrial Arts. He worked for the oil industry and as an accountant for many years. In his younger years he enjoyed fishing and woodworking. He met Joy Ransbottom in Coffeyville, Kansas and they were later married in Tulsa, Oklahoma and have enjoyed over 50 years of marriage together. Don was a loving husband and father and he had a heart of gold.

Preceded in death by his parents, Earl Lee Ransbottom and Thelma Grace (Doakes) Ransbottom; Don is survived by his wife Joy Ransbottom of the home; six children, Sandy Crevison and husband Charlie of Marion, Ohio; Susie Kirchoff and husband Gregg of Marshall, Missouri; Butch Ransbottom of Arkansas; Sheryl Brittain of Rockmart, Georgia; Brenda Anderson and husband Jeff of Marion, Ohio; and Judy Edwards of Delaware, Ohio; brother, Gerald Ransbottom and wife Barbara of Grove, Oklahoma; sister, Barbara Unruh and husband Earl of Grove, Oklahoma; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, other family members and friends.

Services will be at a later date under the direction of Harmon County Funeral Home, Hollis, Oklahoma.
