Obituary for Donald Max Sparks
Mr. Donald Max Sparks, age 64, of 605 Windsor Drive, died Monday at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services have been set for 2:00 P.M., Thursday at the Lowell Memorial Chapel, officiated by the Reverend Hoyett Lemmon. Burial will be in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Funeral Home.
Born August 4th, 1916 at Pittsburg, Kansas, he was married in 1949 at Muskogee, OK to the former Ida Freeman who survives of the home. He was retired from the United States Air Force, and was retired in June 1965 after serving more than 20 years. He was a member of the Baptist Church, a Mason and a member of Altus American Legion Post #44.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include: his Mother, Mrs. Essie Cole of Sand Springs, OK; one daughter, Mrs. Janice Marie Colosimo of Waxahachie, TX; one brother, Mr. Sam J. Sparks, Jr. of La Vergne, TN; three grandchildren.
