Donald Verle Adams was born August 19, 1939 in Altus, Oklahoma to Oscar and Ion Adams. He died August 27, 1965 in Vinton, Louisiana in a train accident. He attended Altus Public Schools, served in the U.S, Army during the Korean Conflict and worked for Civil Service.
Funeral Services for Donald Adams are scheduled for August 30, 1965 at the Elm & Hudson Church of Christ with L.N. Moody officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Donald Adams is survived by his mother and step-father, Mrs. Jack Thompson of Barterwill; father Oscar B. Adams, Tuela, Texas; one brother Jimmy D. Adams, Dallas, Texas; grandparents, Mrs. J.N. Porrent, Altus, Oklahoma; Mrs. J. E. Adams, Headrick, Oklahoma; one son, Donald Lynn Jr., Altus, Oklahoma' several aunts and uncles.
