Donald Wayne Cannady, 86, resident of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma passed away June 20, 2020 at Integris Hospice House.
Donald was born on July 25, 1933 in Willow, Oklahoma to Elton Hall Cannady, Sr. and Bessie Lee (Bass) Cannady. He was raised and educated in Granite, Oklahoma. Following high school, he attended Oklahoma University, and obtained an associate's degree in Business.
Following college, Don had a calling to join the United States Army and was a tank commander in Germany.
He married Dianne Cannady in Reno, Nevada. Donald was married to Dianne for 44 years before her passing.
Don worked for Arizona Public service as a supervisor in electronics division. He would set up the sound and electrical equipment for many concerts. He enjoyed woodworking, watching OU Football, remodeling homes, golfing, fishing, but must of all he enjoyed visiting with friends and family. Church was very important part of his life; he was a member of the Church of Christ of Granite.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Diane Cannady, his second wife Janet Cannady, Father, Elton Hall Cannady, Sr.; Mother, Bessie Lee (Bass) Cannady; two brothers, Porter Cannady, Elton Hall Cannady Jr. ; two sisters, Fern Harper, and Louise Hokett.
Donald is survived by a son, Gordon Cannady; two step- daughters, Karen Schofield and Cheryl Malloy; Nephew, Gary and wife Tanya Cannady; Nieces, Deotta Kircher and husband Eric, Karen Fand, Sharon Beavers, Marcy Coleman, and great nephew, Spencer, and wife Julie and Olivia Magna.
