Dorothy Gillespie was born April 4, 1915 at Altus, Oklahoma. She died October 7, 1993 at the Doctors Health Care Center in Dallas, Texas. She was a long time resident of Altus and Jackson County before moving to Texas. She was the daughter of Wylie and Oleta Stroud. She married Charles Gillespie and he preceded her in death in 1974. She was retired, after serving as a medical secretary for many years. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She had resided at the Heritage House in Wichita Falls, Texas for many years before moving to Dallas in September 1993.

Graveside services are scheduled for 11 am Saturday at the Altus Cemetery with Marland Mason officiating. Lowell-Tims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. the family requests memorials in honor of Mrs. Gillespie go to the American Cancer Foundation.

Survivors include children, Wallace Witt and Joyce of Mabank, Texas; Jerolyn Roberts and Alan of Paula Alto, California; four grandchildren; Kevin, Brian, and Curtis Roberts, and Janice Witt Angle.

Preceded in death by parents and husband.
