Doveard R. Wynn, age 87, of Mangum, passed away late Saturday evening, May 1, 2010, at Quartz Mountain Medical Center, in Mangum.

Mr. Wynn was born on March 26, 1923, in Marshall, Texas to Allen and Allie Irene (Bass) Wynn. Moving to Oklahoma at a young age, he attended White Flat School and began farming during his school years. On October 9, 1943, he married the love of his life, Claudine Anglin, in Mangum, and they spent the next sixty-six wonderful years together until his death. After their marriage, Doveard spent a tour of duty with the United States Army and returned to farming when he was discharged. After farming for over forty-five years, Doveard and Claudine retired and moved from the farm into Mangum where they lived until his death. Coon hunting and fishing was second to the love of his grandchildren. Pa-Pa, to the grandchildren whom he loved and who loved him, was shared by many others in the community who fondly call him their Pa-Pa.

Preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, two as infants, Nolan Wynn, Elmer (Pud) Wynn and Curtis Wynn; four sisters, Lou Ware, Levonia Kerbo, Beatrice McElroy and Avis Peters and one grandson, Kelly Webb, he is survived by his wife Claudine Wynn, of the home; two children, Peggy Webb of Mangum and Buford Wynn and wife Loretta of Mangum; seven grandchildren, Scotty Webb and wife Denise of Mangum, Kevin Webb and wife Christa of Mangum, Wynn Webb and wife Brandi of Mangum, Jimmy Wynn of Houston, Melissa Spence and husband Joseph of Houston, Jeanie Rouse of Mangum and Crystal Rouse of Mangum; eleven great grandchildren; two brothers, Otis Wynn and wife Coleen of Mangum and Emory Wynn and wife Betty of Russell; one sister, Retha Wynn of Altus; a special friend, Truman Carper of Mangum along with many other relatives and friends.
