Earl W. Underwood

Earl W. Underwood, 76, passed away Wednesday after a long illness. Services are set for Friday at 2:00 pm at the Lowell Memorial Chapel. Bud Adkins will officiate. Burial will be in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Funeral Home.

Underwood was born February 13, 1914 to Walter and Minnie Underwood in Beckly, West Virginia. He married Josephine Sequine in San Antonio, Texas.

Survivors include one daughter, Mary Thornton of Altus; three brothers, Bill Underwood, John Underwood, Melvin Underwood all of Shady Springs, West Virginia; two sister, Laura Hendrickson and Pearl Hufman of Ocoee, Florida; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. His wife preceded him in death.
