Eddie Glen Garvin, age 58, of Blair, passed away suddenly Saturday evening, July 8, 2006 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.

He was born September 10, 1947 in Hollis, Oklahoma to Willard O. and Opal D. (Seright) Garvin, Jr. Eddie graduated from Altus High School in 1966 and after graduation he moved to California where he met the love of his life, Shelly McClusky. On February 18, 1978 in Daly City, California, they were united in marriage. In 1979, they moved back to the Altus area.

Eddie worked at Otasco's, Skinner Toyota and Johnny Roberts Motors until he began work at Wilmes Chevrolet where he served as parts manager until the time of his death.

Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his wife, Shelly Garvin of the home; two daughters, Melissa Fixico and husband Dustin of Yukon, Oklahoma and Michelle Downing and husband Justin of Blair; three sons, Shawn Garvin of Norman, Oklahoma, Rodney Hays and wife Michelle of Frisco, Texas and Ryan Hays of Frisco, Texas; one brother, Larry Garvin of Kingfisher, Oklahoma; his mother-in-law, Stella McClusky of Altus along with many cousins, aunts, uncles and other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services for Eddie Garvin will be Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at 2 pm at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home of Altus.

The family of Eddie Garvin will greet friends at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home on Monday, July 10, 2006 from 6 until 8 pm.
