MOREHEAD

Edna Mae Morehead, also known as Grandmother, was born December 31, 1918, in Graham, Texas. She married Willis Morehead January 7, 1936, in Eldorado, Oklahoma.

She and Willis owned and operated Morehead Cycle Shop. Her greatest joy in life was raising her daughters, her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. She treated all of their friends as her own. She was lovingly called Grandmother by many.
Mae was a member of The First Baptist Church where she faithfully taught kindergarten Sunday School for over 50 years. She was honored by the church for her many years of service.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years and her son-in-law John Henry. She was the last of her 1 brother and 5 sisters.
Survivors include daughter Danette Evans and her husband Jerry. Grandson Kerry Evans and his children Kaleb and Kassidy and their mother Rena. Granddaughter Kim Baker and her husband Jerry. Their son Brady and wife Laci, children Jaxton and Kason; son Tobyn and wife Katie. Daughter Vickie Henry, grandson Jeffrey Henry and Britnee Pannell and grandson Blake Henry.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Sooner Chapter at 8904 Silver Hill Dr. Oklahoma City, OK 73132.
Funeral services for Edna Mae Morehead will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at the First Baptist Church with Doug Altom officiating. Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home, of Altus.
The family will greet friends at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 2, 2017, from 6 until 7 p.m.
