Edwin Louis Maxey, 88 died Friday at the English Village Nursing Home. Services are scheduled for Saturday at 2pm in the Lowell-Tims Chapel officiated by rev. Keith Wiginton. Burial will be in the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

Mr. Maxey was born to George and Lula Maxey on January 13, 1903 in Dallas, Texas. He married Mayvon Mathis on May 22, 1928 in Dallas, Texas. He worked for Western Electric and later A.T.&T. He retired after 47 years of service to the Company. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Altus.

Mr. Maxey is survived by his wife, Mayvon Mathis Maxey of Altus, Oklahoma; children, Bob Maxey, Altus, Oklahoma; Edwin Maxey, St. Louis, Mo. sister, Maxine Alexander, Maryland; three grandchildren, three great grandchildren.

Mr. Maxey is survived by his parents, George and Lula Maxey.
