Obituary for Effie Mae Kingery
Effie Mae Kingery, age 97, passed away Sunday evening at the Colonial Manor Nursing Home I in Hollis, OK. Services will be held at the Corinth Baptist Church near Eldorado on Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Henry McBrayer officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Funeral Home.
Born August 2nd, 1889 in Peoria, IL, she was the daughter of Andy and Ida Mae Sisney. She married George Elbert Kingery at Arkadelphia, AR in 1904. They moved to the Eldorado community in 1921. Mr. Kingery preceded her in death. She made her home with her son, Olen Kingery, Eldorado and her daughter Jane Lee of Hollis before going to the nursing home.
Survivors include: two sons, Olen Kingery of Eldorado and George Kingery of Del Norte, CO; seven daughters, Grace Toland of Terrell, TX, Lela Davis of Athens, TX, Jane Lee of Hollis, OK, Ora Coward of Gould, OK, Syble Hunter of Athens, TX, Mildred Adams of Wichita, KS, and Myrtle Smither of Hope, AR; 31 grandchildren; many, many great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: three sons, Aaron, Justin and Earnest; her husband.
