Obituary for Elbarean Rosemae Orr

Elbarean (Elb) Orr, 84, of Hollis, Oklahoma passed away Friday, March 25, 2016 at Colonial Manor II Nursing Home in Hollis. Elb was born on December 23, 1931 in Hollis, Oklahoma to Joel J. and Ila (Reneau) Orr. She grew up on the family farm bordering the Salt Fork of the Red River north of Hollis, and spent many happy years working in the fields and with the livestock. Elb attended Arnett School and was a very active member of the Dodson Church of the Nazarene. She thoroughly enjoyed all church and community activities, and loved to spend time with her family. Elb later moved into Hollis and spent her last years as a resident of Colonial Manor II Nursing Home where she eagerly participated in all the activities and especially enjoyed playing dominoes and attending Bible studies.
Elb was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Ila Orr and a sister, Joyce Jtaun Heinrich. She is survived by her nephew, Greg Heinrich of Hollis and niece, Tonya Thompson of Arack, Alabama, and numerous cousins.
Funeral Services for Elb Orr will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 1, 2016 at the Church of the Nazarene in Dodson, Texas with Pastor Al Mixon officiating. The family will receive friends 5:00 " 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Harmon County Funeral Home in Hollis. Interment will follow in the Dodson Cemetery under the direction of Harmon County Funeral Home of Hollis, Oklahoma.
