Obituary for Eleanor O. Houghton
Eleanor O. Houghton was born February 5, 1909 at Enid, Oklahoma. She died December 22, 1992. She married J. Ralph Houghton February 5, 1928 and he preceded her in death in 1973. She was a long time resident of Jackson County and a member of the First Christian Church. She had also been a member of a local garden club and had worked for the Local Blood Mobile over 20 years.

Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday at the Altus City Cemetery with Rev. Dave Brummett officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.

A memorial to the Oklahoma Cancer Society has been established in honor of Eleanor O. Houghton.

Survivors include: two children, Anne Hogan of Oklahoma City, OK and Jane Altenreid of Altus, OK; two sisters, AnaBel Faddis of Colorado Springs, CO and Sylvia Jacobs of Ponca City, OK; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, J. Ralph Houghton - March 2, 1973.
