Obituary for Eliazar Ramirez
With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Eliazar Ramirez, a beloved member of the Altus, Oklahoma community, who left this world surrounded by his cherished family. Born on June 14, 1958, in Olney, Texas, he was the adored son of the late Agapito and Dora (Serna) Ramirez.. He was raised and educated in Mangum, Oklahoma and loved to talk about his childhood. Eliazar's was a believer in Jesus Christ and was a member of True Life Church of Altus, Oklahoma .
Eliazar's life was marked by versatility and hard work, as he adeptly navigated various trades, from construction to handyman work and utilities. In his leisure hours, he found joy in playing on his tablet, watching westerns, tending to his garden, and collecting antiques and oddities. Of all this hobbies and pursuits the thing that gave Eliazer the most joy was being around his family, he loved each and every family member and lived for the moments he spent with each of them. Renowned for his sweet tooth and eccentricity, Eliazar's tales of youthful exploits, including his fanciful claims of instructing martial arts to icons like Chuck Norris and Bruce Lee, never failed to entertain.
Awaiting Eliazar at the gates of heaven were his parents, Agapito and Dora Ramirez, and his sister, Tona Rivera.
Left to honor his memory are his son Juan and wife Gina Ramirez, son Eliazar Ramirez Jr.; daughters, Velma and husband Saul Campos, Melinda Ramirez, Belinda and Mike Ybarra, Dorene Ramirez and spouse Rogelio Rodriguez; grandchildren Sirena Ramirez, Liliana, Ariana, Amee, and Diego Campos, Monica and Michael Ybarra Jr., Jacob Lopez, Nick Lopez, Gisselle Rodriguez, Isiah Ramirez, Ethan Rodriguez, Amaya King Rodriguez, Cynthia Sanchez, great-grandchildren, Mateo Ramirez, Mylah Lopez and Manny Lopez, Sienna Rodriguez, and three more great-grandchildren on the way. Also surviving Eliazar are his siblings Jesus, Wanda, Grasiela, Christiana, and Lydea, the mother of his children and his best friend, Elaine "Ms. Hollywood" Ramirez, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.
In Eliazar's passing, his vibrant spirit and enduring legacy will be fondly remembered and cherished by all whose lives he touched.

A memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2024 at True Life Church, Altus, Oklahoma.
Funeral services and cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Lowell - Tims Funeral Home and Crematory, Altus, Oklahoma.
