Elizabeth Ann Lopez, age 62, of Olustee, passed away late Monday evening, February 16, 2015, at her residence in Olustee.
Beth was born in Russellville, Kentucky on February 26, 1952, to Richard Knight and Bessie Viola (Brooks) Sanford. Moving to Altus, as a child, she attended Eugene Field Elementary, Central Junior High and graduated from Altus High School in 1970. In 1973 she began working at Kellwood Manufacturing until it closed and then continued working for OK-1 Manufacturing until her health began to fail in December 2013. On August 8, 2008, she married Andrew Lopez, in Vernon, Texas and they were happily married for six years. A wonderful mother and grandmother, Beth loved spending her time watching her Reality TV shows, shopping and spending time with her daughter.
Preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Richard Karl Sanford and one sister, Rebecca Sanford, she is survived by her husband Andy, of the home; five children, Scott Valdez of Dallas, Tracey Cox and husband Billy of Altus, Christopher Lopez of Olustee, Amber Lopez and John Kaboua of Altus and Ryan Lopez of Olustee; eight grandchildren, Seany Valdez of Edmond, Kelby Valdez of Edmond, Destiny Valdez of Lawton, Taylor Valdez of Plano, Texas, Ayden Valdez of Melissa, Texas, Kimalee Kaboua of Altus, Kaylee Kaboua of Altus and Mikaela Lopez of Houston, Texas along with many other relatives and friends.
Memorial services for Beth Lopez will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, February 19, 2015, at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Erin Martinez officiating.
