Obituary for Emelene Maxwell
Funeral Services for Emelene Maxwell, age 79, of Altus, Oklahoma, are scheduled for Friday, January 3, 1997 at 3:30 p.m., in the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Sonny Tims officiating. Burial will follow in the Hess Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.

Emelene was born February 17th, 1917 in Texas to Isaac Ben Bailey Smithey and Irena Adel Smithy. Emelene and George Maxwell were united in marriage in Texas, they later made their home in Elmer, OK. Mr. Maxwell preceded her in death in 1968. Emelene was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include: a son, Rickey Maxwell of Altus, OK; two grandchildren, Mathew Maxwell of Sacramento, CA and Jennifer Maxwell of Burkburnett, TX; two nieces, Johy Daen Thomas of Montgomery, AL and June Norwood of Slaton, TX.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, George Maxwell - 1968; and Verna Lee Crouch.
