Emory S. Blackstone age 88, of Altus, died October 24, 1971 at his home in Altus.
Emory was born Mach 3, 1883, in Searcy, Arkansas to Mr and Mrs Thomas Franklie Blackstone.
He married Pinkie Moody January 1, 1905 at Doans Crossing, Doans, Texas. Emory was a retired farmer, living in Oklahoma since 1904. He was a member of Yell Dell Masonic Lodge and the Baptist Church.
Services for Emory Blackstone are scheduled for Tuesday, October 26, 1971 at 10:00 am in Tims Chapel, Altus, officiated by Rev. Carl McCoy. Burial will follow in the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Emory S. Blackstone is survived by his wife, Pinkie of the home in Altus; two sons, Dean Blackstone, Altus, Oklahoma; F. E. (Blacky) Blackstone, Altus, Oklahoma; one brother, Grady Blackstone, Altus, Oklahoma; four sisters, Rosie Lee, Ripton, California; Sally Newman, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Maude Dear, Dumas, Texas; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren.
