Ernest D. Mabry
Ernest D. Mabry was born August 30, 1908 at Childress, Texas. He died June 7, 1991 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus, Oklahoma. He married Leota Smith July 12.1932 at El Reno, Oklahoma. Ernest had served with the U S Army during World War 11 and had served with Patton's 3rd Army where he was awarded the Bronze Star. He was a member of the American Legion, Kiwanis Club and had served as a fundraiser for the Y.M.C.A. He was a long time resident of Altus and Jackson county. He went to work for Anthony's i 1939. He was promo9ted to manager in 1945 where he served in that capacity until retiring in 1974.
Services for Ernest Mabry will be held Monday June 10, 1991 at 11:00 A.M. at the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in the Restlawn Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
Ernest was preceded in death by his mother and father, and infant daughter and daughter Nancy Mabry and one grandson, Kurt Kueteman.
He is survived by his wife, Leota Mabry, one daughter, Karen Mabry Kueteman , three grandchildren, two great grandchildren . Karl Kueteman, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Kristin Kueteman Edmond, Oklahoma, Katryn Kueteman, Edmond, Oklahoma, Ethan Kueteman, Edmond, Oklahoma and Brittany Kueteman of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
