Estelle Blair Hammonds



Estelle Blair Hammonds was born May 5, 1904 in Jackson county prior to statehood. She died June 14, 1991 in Altus, Oklahoma. She had been a resident of Altus and Jackson County over 50 years.
She had been in the nursing profession since 1923 where she received her training in Altus. She had served in various positions in the nursing Profession. She ws co-owner of the H & H Nursing Home in Grandfield, Oklahoma until 1968. She was then associated with the Home-Care for many years.

Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00am Monday June 17, 1991 at the Altus Cemetery with Sonny Tims officiating. Lowell-Tims Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Hammonds is survived by two nephews, Joseph Kennedy, Fort Worth, Texas; Donald Dove, Little Rock, Arkansas; one niece, Darlene McLeod, Eagle River, Alaska; tow sisters, Thelma Kennedy, Fort Worth, Texas; Marie Dove, Carmichael, California.

Mrs. Hammonds was preceded in death by her mother and father, one son Jerry Hammonds in 1964.
